“I want to tell you about how great Scooby was yesterday! We went past the house where the dogs are in front and did the watch-and-feed whilst walking, went past no problem, same at next two houses. Then on the way back a guy called to me, he was coming up from behind with a white staffie but not on a lead, said he would walk on the opposite side of the road. I made Scooby sit and did the watch-with-food and he didn’t even look at the other dog! Was sooo excited!!

Ek het vir Sarette leer ken as ‘n vrou met ‘n baie sagte en tere plek in haar wese vir elke vier voet hondekind. Ongeag, die ras of die geslag, die kleur of die gedrag, by Sarette is elke “Canine” welkom.
‘n Vrou wat met haar uiters professionele optrede die belange van ons dierekinders prioriteit in haar lewe gemaak het. Haar mooi manier van kennismaking met my “Aanneem Herdershond” sal ek nooit vergeet. Sy is ‘n persoon wat vriende maak met die diere. Hul sagkens benader en hul agtergrond en afkoms in ag neem tydens hul opleidingsessies. Haar geduld met elke sessie is treffend. Haar stem sal sy nooit verrys of die “leerling/Canine” forseer om enige iets te doen waarvoor hy of sy onwillig blyk te wees op die gegewe oomblik van opleiding. Liefde en erkenning en beloning vir elke goeie probeerslag bly nooit agterwee by haar nie.
Sarette glo aan positiewe onderrig. Daar is geen hardhandigheid of ongewensde handelinge in haar opleiding tydens die intersessies met die hondekinders nie. Haar geduld met die eienaar laat my stom. Sarette, is ‘n aangename en hoogs intelligente vrou wat haar beste wil oordra aan elkeen wat by haar aanklop.
In haar stem hoor mens die liefde en omgee en teerheid, maar ook die fermheid en beslistheid van dissipline wat oorgedra word aan die hondekinders. In Sarette se interpersoonlike verhoudinge met die eienaars het ek dikwels gemerk hoe sy moeite doen om elkeen te motiveer om hul geliefde dierekind tot maksimum potensiaal te laat ontwikkel. Sy verstaan die gedrag van die hondekinders baie goed. ‘n Vinnige blik van haar raaksien-oog oor die hondekind en sy het reeds die behoefte gesien en waar daar ontwikkeling kan plaasvind. Sarette glo daarin dat die Caninekinders moet veilig voel. Hul moet erken word waar hul hul ookal in hul ontwikkelingsjare bevind vanaf klein baba tot volwasse.
Die seen en talente wat Sarette ontvang het gaan baie verder as wat ek kan van getuig. Haar liefdevolle hand reik uit met ‘n bederf as vergoeding. En haar streel oor elke hondekoppie en woorde van erkenning sal my altyd bybly. Sarette se humor, haar positiewe gesindheid, liefde vir die natuur, hondekinders en standvastige geestelike waardes en ook haar innerlike vreugde wat sy put uit die opleiding wat sy bied dra by daartoe om van haar ‘n uiters gesogde Opleier en mens te maak.
Elke hondekind, groot of klein is veilig in haar sorg. Haar kennis oor die opgroeijare en ontwikkelingsfases van ons dierekinders is insiggewend en goed nagevors. Haar kennis strek wyd en haar toepassing daarvan is duidelik te sien in die eindresultaat van menige hondekind wat gehoorsaam en vol vreugde saam met haar en die eienaar aan ‘n leiband stap, trappies opdraf deur ‘n hoepel spring en met gehoorsaamheid sal wag op hul eienaar op bevel terwyl die wegstap na ‘n volgende apparaat op die opleidingsbaan.

We have a beautiful 9-month-old Hungarian Wirehaired Vizsla named Ted Lasso. He is only one of six HWV with families in South Africa at the moment (there are 6 pups with the breeder).
Vizslas are very energetic dogs and super intelligent. They strive to please, and their greatest delight is to make their parents happy. Having said this, HWV’s need lots of free exercise to expend their energy, AND they need training to hone and discipline their intelligence.
For 40 years I have had Weimeraner’s in my life and have always trained my dogs. Training made them obedient and loving pets. We wanted Ted Lasso to be as obedient and wonderful as our Weimeraners and so had certain expectations of a dog trainer…
We enrolled Ted Lasso at 12 weeks to a training school, and after three lessons, we realised this was not going anywhere.
A good friend by chance recommended Sarette, and this is where good fortune brought Sarette Vos into Ted Lasso’s life and ours.
Sarette is the most remarkable dog trainer. Her understanding of dogs (and animals in general) is on the next level. Sarette’s dog training is conscientious and dedicated. She has every piece of dog training equipment needed. Her instructions on what to do are clear and concise, and she follows up the lesson with notes. I think it is harder for her to train us parents than to train the dogs!
Ted Lasso is a young pup, but thanks to Sarette, he is an obedient and well-behaved boy.
We cannot recommend Sarette highly enough. She is most certainly the most accomplished dog trainer we have ever met and wish her the greatest success she surely deserves.

” I met Sarette Vos a few years back and from day one, her love and passion for dogs were just shining through. We kept in contact and beginning 2023, I contacted her for advice with our female white shepherd. She started to pluck out her own hair and I was very worried about her. With Sarette’s advice and guidance, we realised that she was indeed in pain and a visit to the vet confirmed that she had back and spinal problems. It was soon after, again with Sarette helping me and giving me advice, that we realised she also suffered from anxiety, and we were able to get the right help. The most amazing part is that all of this happened on whatsapp and with phone calls. Sarette was available and every time within a few hours responded and we were able to have wonderful and very helpful conversations. Her knowledge with regards to dog behaviour is astonishing.
